About Us
One day while riding the el, I woke up from my usual nap, just before my stop (Rockwell - Brown Line), and a thought came to me: I wanted a t-shirt that said Rockwell. For one, I though that it was a cool name. Also, I identify with my neighborhood.
After moving to the city as a 22 year-old and living in Lincoln Park (Red Line - Fullerton)for a time, I moved to Wicker Park (Blue Line - Damen) which suited me much better at that point in my life.
As I got closer to the age of 30, and met a girl I wanted to settle down with, it was time to move. We packed up our pets and moved to Lincoln Square, where almost everyone is in their early thirties and you have to have a dog or a baby before you can sign a lease.
This is the neighborhood that suits us and that I now identify with. I'm proud of my neighborhood, I'm satisfied with my life and I wanted a shirt that said so.
I talked with my brother Nick, and we soon started moving forward with thatsmystop.com. We want you to be able to get a shirt that really says something about you and the neighborhood you've chosen.
It would have been easier for us to offer just a few of the major el stops, but we didn't want to leave anyone out, so we offer all 144 stops,
each stop is printed in white on a variety of colors. All stops are offered on dark grey, as well as the colors of the Lines that stop there (Belmont gets dark grey, red, brown and purple). There are two exceptions, Addsion may be ordered in dark grey, red and blue(for the Cubs), and Sox-35th may be ordered in red or black.
We've toiled for months putting this site together and have had a lot of help and support from colleagues, friends and family. I hope you enjoy the site, but more than that I hope you enjoy the shirts!
Cheers,
Justin Miles
